The Miracle Season” is based on a true story about the West High School volleyball team from Iowa City, Iowa. The movie is not only a tear-jerker but also provides the viewers with a story of hard work and encouragement.

After the devastating death of their senior captain Caroline “Line” Founder, the girls remember and honor her by coming together after the tragedy. This then starts the journey of becoming two-time state champions. The movie is a beautiful retelling of these true events and shows the struggles they had to overcome.

The actors and actresses really were a key part of making this movie amazing and taking the emotions to the next level. With Erin Moriarty playing Kelley Fliehler, Danika Yarosh playing Caroline Found, and Helen Hunt playing the coach Kathy Bresnahan, the film was executed perfectly and the chemistry between each character was spot on.

Of course, there were moments in where it was fictionalized and dramatized for the sake of the movie, but overall it was perfectly in tune with the true story. For the volleyball playing aspect, it was executed very well. The playing looked real for the most part and the girls really put in the work to make it look like a real game.

By the movie description, all the moviegoers would know that it was going to be a sad movie, however, the sadness did not stop at the beginning. Emotions were running high all throughout the movie, but through all the tears shed, the true meaning of remembrance shined through. The movie deserves a rating of four out of five stars and is highly recommended. From the cast to the storyline to the music, The Miracle Season is a movie worth seeing. The story of love and never forgetting will touch the hearts of many who go see this inspiring movie.
