Skincare and makeup can be very expensive and hard to find, so who doesn’t want to discover less expensive dupes that work just as well?

Social media platforms are filled with makeup reviews, get-ready-with-me videos, and beauty tips. These shout-outs lead to a boom in popularity for products that are usually on the pricier side.  Those products are great, but people don’t always want to spend that money on makeup, so the search for dupes is on, and below are a few popular matchups. 

Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops are $38 and although the product is very popular for a reason, it is easily comparable to L’ORÉAL’s Lumi Glotion which is only $12.99 at Target. This dupe has 4.6 stars out of 5, with over 1,000 reviews. Both give you a bronzed complexion with a hint of a glow. In comparison, the Drunk Elephant drops are a tool to firm skin up, whereas Lumi Glotion serves the purpose of hydrating skin. Both products are cruelty-free products, and the Drunk Elephant is vegan. 

The Rare Beauty blush is another highly desired product that is priced at $23. Its dupe is Makeup Revolution Blush Bomb Cream Blusher, priced at $8 with 4.3 stars. Both serve as tools to add a subtle color to your face, usually on your nose and cheekbones. Rare Beauty does have eight more shades than Revolution does, but the color of blush comes down to personal preference. Both products are cruelty-free and Rare Beauty’s is vegan.

Makeup Revolution Blush Bomb Cream Blusher

Dior’s lip oil has been a hot product on social media, costing $40. A much cheaper dupe is NYX’s Oil Lip Drip Gloss, priced at $9 with 4.6 stars. This product serves as a lip moisturizer that leaves a light shine on the lips. Both products have 8 different shades. Dior’s lip oil packaging is a highly praised part of the product, but NYX’s dupe is cruelty-free a positive that the Dior lip oil does not have.

Laneige’s lip sleeping mask is priced at $24 whereas Carenel’s 5.4 stars lip sleeping mask is $13.90 via Amazon. Both products serve as a hydrating and moisturizing mask for your lips. Laneige has 7 different shades in comparison to Carenel’s two. Laneige is the number one lip treatment in the U.S., but Carenel is cruelty-free has more product for a lower price, and give the same effect.

Protini’s Polypeptide Protein Moisturizer is $68 in comparison to The Inkey List’s Peptide Moisturizer, which is $16 with 4.2 stars. Both products serve the purpose of keeping a youthful look with little to no wrinkles. The peptides work to revitalize the skin’s firmness when mixed with a facial hydration recipe. Protini is now refillable, and Inkey’s is cruelty-free, gluten-free, and vegan.

The popular Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Toner has a dupe. The Bliss, What a Melon Replenishing Watermelon Toner which has a 9.4-star rating out of 10. The Glow product is $34 in comparison to Bliss’s $17 toner. Both tighten pores and hydrate the skin using aspects of the amino-rich watermelon. In terms of ingredients, Glow uses cactus water as a way of creating natural electrolytes and Bliss is alcohol-free. Both are cruelty-free in addition, Bliss’s product is vegan.  

Charlotte Tilbury is a well-acclaimed beauty brand, and their highlighter wand is no exception. This highlighting wand is $42 which is comparable to e.l.f.’s Halo Glow Filter which costs $9 and has 4.6 stars. Both are easily applicable highlighting sources that brighten your skin to make it shine. Charlotte Tilbury has 10 different shades whereas e.l.f. has 5. Both work great and are cruelty-free making e.l.f.’s halo glow a substantial dupe.
